Thanks for your advice.
How'd you know the turn signals that I bought were HD aftermarket (they are)?
Before I go the HD splice route (don't know that I have the technical knowledge) or give up and go to a shop (gulp $$$), do you think that I could could tap the rear turn signal wire that reads "running lamp" into the "running lamp" wire that goes to the rear brake light? If I pick up a four-way wire connector I'd just have a mini-junction box under the rear fender.
